Happy Wheels Squid

Happy Wheels has just been released, coinciding with the somber and blasphemous demise of Flash—an event that kept many on the edge of their seats. We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may have caused. We hope that the distress over losing Flash hasn’t prevented you from enjoying a restful night’s sleep.

For those who were unaware that this game was in development, here’s some exciting news: this marks the first public release of Happy Wheels. As it is the initial launch, please bear with us as we work to resolve any remaining bugs and improve the experience.

While I still favor Flash, I appreciate that this new version performs exceptionally well on mobile devices. Currently, however, mobile on-screen controls are not yet implemented—this feature will be added in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone right now, a Bluetooth keyboard works very well for gameplay.

Although I originally mentioned that the game runs at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may run slower at that rate. Fortunately, this setting can be adjusted, and I am considering hosting a dedicated 60 Hz version on a separate page for users with high-performance CPUs.

The core gameplay and design of Happy Wheels JS are faithful to the original. The user database—comprising levels, replays, and players—remains unchanged since the initial release. The only thing lost is the impending doom of the universe’s end.
